77 power plants with 18,905 MW under implementation

Around 77 distinctive power plants under both open and private segments at different stages having 18,905 MW of age limit have now been under usage. 

Citing a senior authority of the power, vitality and mineral assets service BSS stated, of them, 47 control plants with the limit of 13,813 MW would go into tasks in stages from 2018 to 2024. 

Also, he stated, approximately 30 control plants with 5,092 MW limit are under delicate process. 

Chief General (DG) of Power Cell Engineer Mohammad Hossain said the legislature has been attempting to finish all the power plants inside the stipulated period as a component of "Sheik Hasina's 10 Initiatives: Electricity to All by 2021." 

He said the present government amid its residency propelled 88 control plants having 8,819 MW of age limit, including, "Exactly 30 control plants including 25 secretly run ones having 5,092 MW age limit are currently under delicate gliding stage." 

Designer Hossain said the 47 under development control plants with 13,813 MW of age limit would produce power in stages, including, "The legislature is building 18 plants having 7,313 MW and the secretly run plants with 6,458 MW establishment limit." 

He said the legislature has an arrangement to introduce control plants having 4,676 MW of age limit by 2018, 4,833 MW in 2019, 4,072 MW in 2020 and 3,047 MW in 2021. 

"The administration will guarantee power for all by 2021 through an incorporated advancement of energy age, transmission and dissemination framework. General access to quality power in a practical and reasonable way would likewise be guaranteed," the power cell DG included. 

As indicated by the power cell data, right now the power age limit came to 16,046 MW and the most elevated age was 9,507 MW against the request.
