Transport proprietors and specialists of four areas of Barisal division went on an uncertain strike on 17 courses of the division on Wednesday morning requesting permitting a transport benefit on the Bagerhat-Khulna course.
The strike called by Barisal-Patuakhali Bus Owners' and Workers' Association started at 6am.
Communicating solidarity with the strike, transport proprietors and specialists of Bhola and Barguna likewise kept their vehicles off the courses.
No transport was seen employing the courses since the morning, perpetrating sufferings to travelers.
Saidur Rahman Sipon, leader of Barisal-Patuakhali Mini Bus Owners' Association, said transport proprietors of Jhalakati had for some time been restricting the presentation of a transport benefit on the Bagerhat-Khulna course through their locale.
They declared the strike from a human chain framed at Patuakhali transport remain on Tuesday as the Jhalakati transport proprietors declined to yield to their request, he said.
