Wellbeing and Family Welfare Minister Mohammed Nasim yesterday said imprisoned BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has selected an outside legal counselor as she has no confidence in the nearby attorneys taking care of her cases.
"Khaleda Zia doesn't have any confidence in her nearby legal advisors . . . BNP has additionally demonstrated its insolvency by designating British attorney Lord Carlile, who was a lobbyist for war culprits amid the atrocities trial here," he said while talking at a program sorted out by Universal Medical College Research Center (UMCRC) at Jatiya Press Club here.
Nasim, likewise the Awami League Presidium Member, scrutinized Begum Zia and her BNP for selecting the British legal counselor, saying, "He is the legal advisor who was before delegated to battle the instances of war culprits Salauddin Quader and Meer Quashem Ali in the atrocities trial."
