One killed in Brahmanbaria clash

A man was killed and five others were harmed in a conflict between two gatherings of villagers over a real estate parcel at Laxmipur town in Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbria early Saturday, UNB reports. 

The perished was distinguished as Dulal Miah, child of Mansur Miah of the town. 

Police citing neighborhood individuals said Basu Miah's family had been at loggerheads with Muslim Miah over a land parcel. 

As a spin-off of the hostility, Basu Miah's backings swooped on Dulal Miah and five others on their way to the questioned arrive early Saturday and hacked Dulal with a sharp weapon, abandoning him dead on the spot and five others harmed. 

The harmed were sent to Nabinagar Health Complex while the body to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination. 

Extra police were sent there to turn away further inconvenience, said Aslam Shikder, Officer-in-Charge of Nabinagar Police Station.
