Prof Dr Kanak Kanti Barua, a neurosurgeon, has been designated as the new bad habit chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheik Mujib Medical University (BSMUU).
As indicated by BSMMU sources, Prof Barua is currently filling in as the executive of the Neurosurgery Department and senior member of the Surgery Department of BSMMU will assume responsibility on March 24.
He will supplant Prof Kamrul Hasan Khan, whose residency closes on March 23.
Prof Barua finished his MBBS degree from Dhaka Medical College in 1977 and holds the situation of leader of Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons.
He is the principal VP of Bangladesh Medical Association and Swadhinata Chikitsak Parishad.
