Proteas speedster Kagiso Rabada has bid the ICC suspension that will see him miss whatever is left of the Australian arrangement.
Rabada was on Monday restricted for two Test matches for his occurrence with Steve Smith in the second Test against Australia in Port Elizabeth.
The 22-year-old was discovered blameworthy on a Level 2 accuse subsequent to brushing shoulders of the Australian captain after he had got him out LBW.
Subsequently, Rabada was given three ICC bad mark focuses, taking his aggregate count to eight - enough to see him suspended.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) at that point had 48 hours to claim the choice, and they affirmed on Wednesday evening that they had done as such.
The ICC now have 48 hours to delegate a Judicial Commissioner, and after they have done that the hearing must happen inside seven days.
"As specified, Kagiso stays suspended unless the designated JC discovers enough motivation to enable him to play in the third Test," a CSA official affirmed.
On the off chance that Rabada is cleared of the Smith charge, the one negative mark point he acknowledged from an episode with David Warner in the second Test won't be sufficient to see him suspended.
The third Test begins on March 22 in Cape Town.
