‘Robber’ killed in Gazipur ‘gunfight’

A speculated criminal was killed in a revealed gunfight between his associates and police at Patka in Sreepur upazila of Gazipur early Wednesday. 

The perished was recognized as Abdur Rab Hawladar, 35, of Goshairhat upazila in Shariatpur area. 

Following up on mystery data that a gathering of burglars was taking readiness to submit theft in the zone, a group of police directed a drive around 3am, said Joynal Abedin, obligation officer of Sreepur Police Station. 

Detecting the nearness of the law authorities, the burglars opened discharge to police, provoking them to shoot back, setting off a gunfight. 

At one phase of gunfight, Abdur Rab got in the line of shoot and maintained slug wounds. 

Afterward, he was taken to Shaheed Tajuddin Medical College Hospital where the specialists pronounced him dead. 

Three policemen were additionally harmed in the episode. 

The perished was needed in 15 cases, said police, reports UNB.
