Nahid asks private universities to comply with rules


Training Minister Nurul Islam Nahid today said the administration will take lawful activities against the private colleges which have neglected to satisfy the states of running their exercises under the standards of the Private University Act-2010. 

"A portion of the private colleges are yet to satisfy their conditions according to the demonstration and they need to confront legitimate activities after the stipulated time allotment," he told the assembly of Central Women University (CWU) at the Krishibid Institute, Bangladesh (KIB) here. 

Director of University Grants Commission (UGC) Prof Abdul Mannan, Vice Chancellor of CWC Prof Dr Parvin Hasan and Chairman of CWC Trustee Board Kazi Zahedul Hasan, among others, tended to the conference. 

Recognized individual of Center for Policy Dialog (CPD) Dr Rawnak Jahan was the assembly speaker. 

Nahid said the administration has offered significance to enhancing nature of training and also guaranteeing widespread access of all to instruction to accomplish Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
