25 killed as wedding party truck overturns in India


A truck taking a wedding party dove away an extension early Tuesday in western India killing no less than 25 individuals, the greater part of them ladies and kids, authorities said. 

Beginning examinations demonstrated the driver lost control making the truck swerve off the extension and fall eight meters (26 feet) onto a dry riverbed in Gujarat state, police said. 

"Around 60 people were going in the truck and most casualties are ladies and youngsters," Gujarat police overseer K.J. Kadapda told AFP. 

Authorities showed the toll could ascend the same number of the travelers, who were en route to a wedding, stayed caught under the truck which toppled. Other harmed casualties have been hurried to healing facility. 

The mischance occurred in Bhavnagar area, around 200 kilometers (125 miles) from the state capital Ahmedabad. 

The locale gatherer, Harshadkumar Patel, disclosed to AFP that "no less than 25 people have lost their lives in the mishap". 

India has a portion of the world's deadliest streets. 

In excess of 150,000 individuals are murdered every year with most mishaps faulted for poor streets, severely kept up vehicles and careless driving.
