3 razakars to die for war crimes in Noakhali


An atrocities council has passed on capital punishment to three Razakars of Noakhali and jail for a long time to another for their association in wrongdoings submitted amid the 1971 Liberation War. 

The three-part International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)- 1 headed by Justice Md Shahinur Islam conveyed the decision in Dhaka on Tuesday. 

The three censured convicts are-Amir Ahmed nom de plume Amir Ali, Abul Kalam nom de plume AKM Mansur, Md Joynul Abedin while the Abdul Kuddus was condemned to 20-year imprison. 

Of them, Abul Kalam false name AKM Mansur has been on the run. 

These four were discovered in charge of snatchings, torment and killings to help Pakistan to prematurely end Bangladesh's introduction to the world in 1971. 

The principal court on February 6 finished up hearing for the situation, saying it would articulate judgment of the trial quickly. 

Md Eusuf, 70, was another blamed for the situation who kicked the bucket for heart failure on May 19, 2016, and his name was dropped from the case. 

On June 20, 2016, the ICT confined three charges against the four blamed.
