BEZA plans for one lakh acres land to establish 100 EZs


Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) is getting ready for one lakh sections of land to set up 100 Economic Zones (EZs) the nation over, said BEZA Executive Chairman Paban Chowdhury in Dhaka on Monday, reports BSS. 

"BEZA has effectively obtained 75,000 sections of land arrive . . 

. It has officially improved important lawful structure to help interest in EZs," he said while meeting with Directors of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), drove by its President Abul Kasem Khan at BEZA office in the city, said a public statement. 

With the specialized help of JICA, Paban Chowdhury stated, BEZA will build up a worldwide standard 'One Stop Service Desk' which will be completely in activity by December this year. 

To get profits by EZs, Abul Kasem Khan underscored the requirement for guaranteeing direct conduits, port and street network. 

He said a cooperative energy can be made between PPP Authority and BEZA in encouraging new remote and private venture for EZ improvement and advance the EZs and plots to pull in potential outside speculators. 

Among others, BEZA Executive Members Mohammed Ayub and M Harunur Rashid were additionally present at the gathering.
