Nasim rules out possibility of spreading Chikungunya, dengue


Wellbeing and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim today precluded the likelihood of spreading Chikungunya and dengue as the administration has taken sufficient preventive measures for battling the two mosquito-borne ailment. 

"In the background against recognition of colossal number of Chikungunya cases a year ago, we have taken hard and fast measures to anticipate Chikungunya and dengue maladies this year," he told a gathering on "Chikungunya and dengue infections" in the meeting room of the Health and Family Welfare Ministry here. 

State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Zahid Maleque, Secretary of Health Service Division Sirajul haque Khan and Director General of Directorate General of Health Service (DGHS) Prof Abul Kalam Azad, among others, tended to the gathering. 

Nasim asked all worried to make mass mindfulness by taking diverse preventive measures to stop flare-up of Chikungunya and dengue maladies. 

"Both Chikungunya and Dengue sicknesses can be anticipated, if individuals keep their homes clean and devastate all potential mosquito reproducing sources," he included.
