Vietnamese President departs for Hanoi


The meeting Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang, who touched base here on Sunday on a three-day state visit, left Dhaka for Hanoi yesterday evening. 

Remote Minister AH Mahmood Ali saw the Vietnamese President off at Hazrat Shahjalal (R) International Airport at around 3 pm. State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Junaid Ahmed Palak, among others, was available at the airplane terminal. 

Amid his three-day Bangladesh visit, the Vietnamese President held a gathering with Prime Minister Sheik Hasina and joined a feast facilitated by President Abdul Hamid. 

Quang likewise paid tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheik Mujibur Rahman and 1971 Liberation War Martyrs by setting wreaths at Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi and National Memorial in Savar. 

He went by Jatiya Sangsad complex where Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury paid an obligingness approach him. 

Also, Social Welfare Minister Rashed Khan Menon FBCCI President Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin paid an obligingness approach the Vietnamese President at his inn suit. 

Quang likewise joined a business session of Bangladesh-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and went to another gathering of Vietnam-Bangladesh Business Forum. 

This is an abnormal state visit of any Vietnam pioneer in 14 years as previous President Tran Duc Luong visited Bangladesh in 2004. Vietnam was among the main nations of the world which perceived the Independent Bangladesh in 1971.
