India on Monday mourned the loss of lives in a Bangladesh carrier's crash in Nepal's capital Kathmandu and offered any help required, reports Ians.
"Outer Affairs Minister addressed her Bangladesh partner and communicated most profound sympathies and sensitivities for the loss of lives in the crash of the US-Bangla Airlines in Kathmandu," Ministry of External Affairs representative Raveesh Kumar tweeted.
Kumar said Sushma Swaraj "offered any help required in Kathmandu, and shared contemplations and petitions for those harmed".
Upwards of 49 people were killed and 22 harmed when a traveler plane of the US-Bangla Airlines, traveling to Kathmandu from Dhaka, with 71 on load up crash-landed and detonated into a wad of fire at Nepal's principle airplane terminal on Monday.
Nepal Police representative Manoj Neupane affirmed the loss of life.
The 78-seater Bombardier Dash 8 airplane burst into flames after it slipped off the runway at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) while landing and slammed onto a field evidently because of specialized glitches.
Of the 71 individuals, four were team individuals, 33 were Nepalis, 32 Bangladeshis, one Chinese and one Maldivian national, said TIA representative Prem Nath Thakur.
